From Tina, Germany

Thank you for thinking of me even while flea-marketing!

Thursday, May 14

An exciting mail from Chantal came with a beautifully illustrated Children's book entitled - Ente, Tod und Tulpe. Which translates to Duck, Death and the Tulip. Chantal suggested that children's books are helpful when picking up a new language, and with such an interesting book, I am surely feeling a renewed determination. The book also inspires me creatively. Being an illustrator myself, one of my dreams is to work with an author to create something beautiful for children and adults.

Although the language level used in the book is slightly more advanced than what I've picked up so far, I'm quite certain that positivity will come off it. Already I've found a short animated film of the book on youtube that will assist me. The wonders of the interwebs.

Thank you, Chantal! ❤

It's been a while and I hope I can soon be consistent with letter writing once more. Before the end of this week, I'll finally drop off a letter to Fab & Claudia. Yesterday noon, I also received 2 beautiful mail from the creative Jennifer & lovely Chantal, who even enclosed a fossilized sea urchin. How curious! ❤

Beautiful letters from Andreia - Portugal & Sara in Italy.

So simple and dreamy.

I haven't neglected on letter-writing, it's just been a bit difficult to find that needed peace and inspiration to write. I assure you my dear pen friends whom I've yet to respond, that a letter written with care and much thought will be sent in the coming weeks. ❤

First mail of 2014 came from Mickey in The Netherlands

Construction at my neighbour's is driving me utterly insane and I'd like to rant about how inconsiderate they are for putting us through this migraine while they sit back comfortably in their rented apartment channel surfing the entire day. Our house is literally vibrating and one of our shell collection fell off the shelf and chipped a bit around the edge due to all the heavy, continuous drilling next door.

Butttttttt, I shall talk about lighter things such as this happy festive mail from Mickey! It's always nice to receive something christmassy post-christmas especially since I didn't exactly get to properly enjoy Christmas last year from being ill and all that. So when Mickey's letter arrived, it sort of did bring out the excitement I had before getting caught in the holiday madness. All the happy colours.

Thank you Mickey! ❤

A lovely letter consisting of wallpaper samples, label stickers and an old stamp from Fatima, The Philippines.

A postcard from Vethanee in Thailand finally arrived.

Thank you girls! :)

A belated birthday gift from Sara, Italy
So far, a lovely motivation to start my November.♥

Everything was put together carefully and with such nice thoughts. In case I have not mentioned before, I've found it a bit hard to decide how I should go about unwrapping/uncovering such mail, because I appreciate its original form so much so that I could just admire it without wanting to reveal its contents. Am I the only one who feels that way?

Thank you dear Sara, I will put this delicate notebook to good use. ♥

This afternoon, a very lovely mail arrived from Mickey, the Netherlands.

She put together a vibrant crochet garland as a birthday gift, as well as a polaroid and some dried autumn leaves that felt nice in my hands. One of it is even as smooth as paper! Such pretty things in the mail sure makes this tiring day a lot better. Thank you Mickey!♥

A very delightful bird theme mail completed with a beautiful stamp came from Rehana, Japan
Thank you! ❤

Also, a letter to Remi in the United States went out yesterday. Safe travel~.

A really cool belated-birthday package from Chantal, Germany.

Fascinating photographs and ephemera, and a packet of rosengeflüster tea that smells delish. It's a good thing I recently acquired a tea infuser! ♥ Thank you so much Chantal!
