Yesterday evening, a couple of delightful mail arrived in my humble letterbox. A very pleasant letter from Sara in Italy and a beautiful postcard from Chantal. It is a portrait of Elizabeth Montagu (1720-1800) which she bought at the Dr Johnson's House during her trip to London.
Apart from an engaging letter, Sara also enclosed a few Art event cards, transportation tickets and receipts, and pressed flowers which she attached to the back of a postcard. It was very sweet and thoughtful of her as I had expected none of it at all ! :)
