It's been a while since I bought anything quirky in the stationery / craft department. Apart from the lack of time to shop, I also made a point to spend less on things I really do not need.
Today however, I unexpectedly came across these unconventional writing cards of fruit and vegetable slices by a Japanese stationery brand and knew in my heart that if I walked out of the store without purchasing a pack, I'd feel very, very bothered by it for the rest of the day. I love the way Japanese products are packaged, and it is likely one of the main things that attracted me about this. It literally looks like something you can find in the snack section of Muji, which makes these cards resemble vegetable chips.
To be honest, I'm not sure how people would react to receiving a note card like this because visually, it doesn't look like much, but I still do think it's rather interesting. Each sheet also gives off a nice-scent! Hopefully, my pen-pals don't hate vegetables.
What are your thoughts on these dry vege-fru cards? Is it something you'd like to have in your stationery collection?

I think those are really cool also because I've never seen something like this before (and still wonder what the longish thing on the left is). So, yes, I would definitely want to have something as crazy as this in my collection!
ReplyDeleteThe longish thing on the left is Okra and it's one of my favourite vegetables, even though it's slimy and all. :3 I'm glad you think it's pretty cool, I just imagined it to be something most people would find weird and unattractive for a stationery. haha
DeleteOkra... Never heard of it. I assume I could buy and try it in Singapore? :o
DeleteI guess some people will find it weird but those who are into art and stationary will appreciate the lovely design, I am sure. <3
