A beautiful nostalgic mail from Eva, Belgium.
Eva sent me an envelope filled with a mixture of colourful little things, mainly representing memories and nostalgia. I loved the analogue photographs, especially the one of a lighthouse; the way she enclosed a tiny pressed plant in a sheer envelope and her cute illustrations on the envelope are very distinct and inspiring. I had a fun time discovering and admiring the interesting ephemera she sent, thank you Eva! :)
For my part of the swap, I sent her a handbound booklet made with unused pages of (school) exercise books, orchid petals, a postcard from the Raffles Hotel - the oldest heritage hotel in Singapore, and 2 photographs depicting a favourite memory abroad.
Nostalgia has to be one of my favourite themes to work on. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Lovely mail!:)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful thing to find in the mailbox indeed :)
DeleteThe envelope is beautiful! And the handbound booklet looks amazing, was the sewing easy to make?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I did struggle a little with the stitch-binding at first but once I got the hang of it, it is pretty easy to make! I found this basic tutorial most helpful : http://youtu.be/hdwDYVlZK2A
